Andhra Pradesh has emerged as the front runner in the Biotech Infrastructure and Research & Development with the creation of Genome Valley, which is the first state-of-the-art biotech cluster in India for life science research, training and manufacturing activities spread over 600 Sq. Km. Genome Valley comprises of ICICI Knowledge Park, Shapoorji Pallonji Biotech Park, APIIC Biotech Park, etc. and houses several “Centers of Excellence” such as Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Centre For DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD), National Institute of Nutrition, International Crop Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics, etc. Besides, Andhra Pradesh, also known as the seed and poultry capital of India, is the home for large number of Agro based industries in including paper, fish & prawn processing, meat processing, vegetable oils, sugar factories, rice mills, fruit processing, cotton spinning, etc.

BIOASIA 2010: THE GLOBAL BIOBUSINESS FORUM

BioAsia is an annual international biotech event, active since 2004 assisting biotech and pharmaceutical companies around the globe to create new business partnerships, academic and industrial collaborations and for exploring and sharing resources.

The seventh edition of the BioAsia, BioAsia 2010: The Global Biobusiness Forum is all set to be held at Hyderabad from February 3-6, 2010.
