Federation of Asian Biotech Associations (FABA)

The Federation of Asian Biotech Associations [FABA] (www.biofaba.org) is registered under Societies Act, a non-profit society engaged in various activities related to promoting Biotechnology in Asia. FABA with its humble beginning in 2004 has developed a strong network base in 17 Asian countries including Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Thailand. Besides, FABA has entered into working understandings with Non-Asian Organisations like European Federation of Biotechnology, Biocat (Spain), Maryland India Business Round Table (USA), Indo German Liaison Office (Germany), Healthcanada (Canada), etc.  Headquarters of FABA at Hyderabad organizes various events for the benefit of the companies in India. BioAsia is one such event organized by the FABA head quarters which has been serving as the platform for the Indian companies to interact and get into agreements with companies in developed countries for collaboration/Partnerships/joint ventures/tie-ups/contract research.

University Of Hyderabad (UOH)

University of Hyderabad (www.uohyd.ernet.in) is a premier institute of teaching and research, established by an Act of the Parliament of India in 1974 as a Central University. Over the years, University of Hyderabad has emerged as a top ranking institute of higher education and research in India. With its highly qualified and talented faculty, bright students who come from all over the country and abroad, devoted staff, and modern infrastructure, the University of Hyderabad is poised to extend its horizons of research in areas that respond to national needs as well as contemporary blue-sky areas. Recognized as one of the five Universities in the country with special potential for excellence, the University of Hyderabad has before it a clearly legible road map to pursue new academic endeavors.

All India Biotech Association (AIBA)

All India Biotech Association (www.aibaonline.com) was established in the year 1994 as a non-profit society to provide common apex forum at the national level to represent the interests of all those engaged in various aspects of Biotechnology. One of the main objectives of AIBA is to promote and safeguard the overall interests of Biotechnology as a science, profession, industry or trade. The head quarters of AIBA is operating at New Delhi. With the objective of promoting Biotechnology at the grass root level, All India Biotech Association affiliated National Biological Association for Students [NBAS] which is first of its kind in India, as its Student Wing in the Feb 2006.

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)

The Confederation of Indian Industry (www.cii.in) works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the growth of industry in India, partnering industry and government alike through advisory and consultative processes.
CII is a non-government, not-for-profit, industry led and industry managed organisation, playing a proactive role in India's development process. Founded over 114 years ago, it is India's premier business association, with a direct membership of over 7800 organisations from the private as well as public sectors, including SMEs and MNCs, and an indirect membership of over 90,000 companies from around 385 national and regional sectoral associations.
CII catalyses change by working closely with government on policy issues, enhancing efficiency, competitiveness and expanding business opportunities for industry through a range of specialised services and global linkages. It also provides a platform for sectoral consensus building and networking. Major emphasis is laid on projecting a positive image of business, assisting industry to identify and execute corporate citizenship programmes. Partnerships with over 120 NGOs across the country carry forward our initiatives in integrated and inclusive development, which include health, education, livelihood, diversity management, skill development and water, to name a few.
Complementing this vision, CII's theme for 2009-10 is 'India@75: Economy, Infrastructure and Governance.' Within the overarching agenda to facilitate India's transformation into an economically vital, technologically innovative, socially and ethically vibrant global leader by year 2022, CII's focus this year is on revival of the Economy, fast tracking Infrastructure and improved Governance.
With 64 offices in India, 9 overseas in Australia, Austria, China, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, UK, and USA, and institutional partnerships with 213 counterpart organisations in 88 countries, CII serves as a reference point for Indian industry and the international business community.
